New! eBook Service 3M Cloud Library The library now subscribes to a new eBook service called the 3M Cloud Library.  The 3M Cloud Library provides access to eBooks on your Apple and Android devices (it is currently not compatible with Kindle). Once you download the 3M Cloud Library app from iTunes or Google Play, search for a particular title or browse shelves of eBooks by: fiction non-fiction young adult travel biography and memoir cookbooks children's books lifestyles romance mystery and thriller Unlike our other eBook service, MyMediaMall, the 3M Cloud Library is the Wauconda Area Library's own eBook collection.  We will be adding more titles as they become available. You also have the ability to return titles early on Apple and Android devices. In order to use the 3M Cloud Library, you will need to download the following app, depending on your device.  iTunes app for iPod, iPad, iPhone            Google Play app for Android devices You will need a valid Wauconda Area Library barcode number and your PIN.  If you do not know your PIN, please call the library at 847-526-6225 or email us at library@wauclib.org.  A valid library card has fines under $5 and is in good standing.  The Adult Services Reference Desk can also walk you through the setup if you have any questions.

In 2001 Gale Gand was named "Outstanding Pastry Chef" by the James Beard Foundation and "Pastry Chef of the Year" by Bon Appetit.  She is currently executive pastry chef and partner of the renowned Mobil Four Star, AAA Five Diamond restaurant Tru.  Chef Gand will prepare recipes from her latest book.  Books will be available for signing and purchase.

Jazzin’ with the Friends After Hours Fundraiser

Enjoy great music, the best company, a delicious appetizer and dessert bar, AND a chance to support the Friends. The Chicago Jazz Caravan will perform music reminiscent of the New York supper clubs of the fifties.  Tickets are available for $10 per person and can be purchased at the Adult Services Reference Desk starting March 19.
